HEROs OF CHANGE: Winning for Society


Organized in collaboration with HEROs Sportsmanship for the Future, this WA Dialogue highlights how athletes are leveraging their influence, visibility, and commitment to drive social impact, champion gender equality, and uplift communities. While values like discipline, teamwork, and integrity define sportsmanship, their broader societal impact often goes unnoticed. Nakata HIDETOSHI, Founder of the HEROs Project, joins Junpei SASAKAWA, Vice President of The Nippon Foundation, and Hanae ITO, 1252 Project Leader and Former Olympic Swimmer, to explore how philanthropic organizations can collaborate with athletes to amplify these efforts and maximize their reach and influence for social impact.
