‘Bamboo 1947: Then and Now’ with Yui Yaegashi

In ‘Bamboo 1947: Then and Now,’ the special exhibition marking 60 years of Gucci in Japan, six Japanese traditional artisans and contemporary artists were selected by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno to reimagine 60 vintage Bamboo 1947 bags.

Applying her abstract painting style to the Bamboo 1947 bags, Yui Yaegashi uses freehand brushwork and layered colors to create delicate textures and subtle tonal variations, adding a unique artistic flair to each piece.
