Felix is welcomed by Dirk, Mercedes-AMG’s head of tyre development, and the two are joined by Pierrot and Samuel from Michelin to talk about the special partnership between Mercedes-AMG and Michelin and the high demands Mercedes-AMG places on its tyres. Afterwards, Dirk takes Felix on test drives for tyres at different stages of development and reveals exactly what happens during testing on the oval ring and wet handling. Finally, Felix meets this episode’s surprise guest, 24h champion Manuel Metzger, who takes our host on some hot laps on the Circuit de Charade to test two sets of tyres for the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series.
