The UN General Assembly has proclaimed September 23 as the International Day of Sign Languages to raise awareness of the importance of sign language in the full realization of the human rights of people who are deaf.
We, at the National Museum of Qatar, believe that on this day it is our duty and honor to raise awareness on sign language and the deaf community in Qatar. We invited Abdullah Al Daini and Murad Al Souss to educate us about sign languages and its prevalence in Qatar.
