In Côte d’Ivoire, 2023 Rolex Awards Laureate Inza Koné draws on the expertise of reformed local poachers to change the fortunes of some of West Africa’s most imperilled primates. The dense vegetation and swampy conditions of the Tanoé-Ehy Forest make it an incredibly rich biological reservoir, and have so far protected it from significant degradation.
