Where Time springs to life

Delve into the automation of ‘La Quête du Temps’ astronomical clock

The choreography of the automaton celebrates creativity with a human figure who gestures to the heavens in time with musical compositions played by a specially devised music box.

More than simply indicating the time in hours and minutes, the automaton can perform three different sequences, lasting for a minute-and-a-half in total. This achievement was realised by inventing a dedicated mechanism comprising 158 cams.
