The 2024 CHANEL Next Prize winner Ho Tzu Nyen works across animation, video, performance and installation.
Ho represented Singapore, the country of his birth, at the 54th edition of the Venice Biennale, while he has held solo exhibitions of his work at the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art, Japan (2021), the Yamaguchi Centre for Arts and Media, Japan (2021), at the Kunstverein Hamburg, Germany (2018), at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain (2015) and at the Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2012).
A survey exhibition, titled Ho Tzu Nyen: Time & the Tiger and spanning two decades of his work, opened at the Singapore Art Museum in 2023. He also has a solo show, titled A for Agents, opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo in April 2024.
