The Rolex Mentoring Programme Live from TIFF

In partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival® (TIFF), Rolex presents “Play the Part”, a special conversation between acclaimed Chinese director Jia Zhang-Ke and his protégé Filipino filmmaker Rafael Manuel after their two-year collaboration through the Rolex mentoring programme. Directors Jia and Manuel join TIFF CEO Cameron Bailey to provide insights into their creative exchanges, their approach to documenting social and political change in their respective countries, and the highly collaborative process of making films, regardless of their length.
