Composed of 600 ultra-thin layers, each no more than 45 microns thick, the quartz fibres that make up the Quartz TPT® of the RM 65-01 are saturated with a special resin developed exclusively for Richard Mille. The layers are then stacked, with each one rotated 45° from the previous, creating a distinctive visual texture. Once heated to 120°C and compressed at 6 bars, the material is ready to be machined into the brand’s signature tripartite tonneau case. This machining process reveals random patterns within the layers, ensuring that every RM 65-01 case is truly unique.
