The Gucci Bamboo 1947

Crafted upon the pillars of creativity and innovation, the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag—one of the archive-inspired Beloved lines—represents a reiteration of heritage and an iteration of the Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s own legacy within the House. With the help of the House’s visionary Florentine artisans, founder Guccio Gucci decided to use lightweight and durable bamboo for the handle of a purse in 1947, thus forging an instant and lasting emblem. Today, Alessandro Michele has reimagined the archival design by adding detachable leather and Web straps, as well as proposing the bag in different sizes and colors.
