Macarena is one of our inspiring entrepreneurs in The Founders Initiative – a programme by APX and Porsche that supports the next generation of dreamers and doers. As an independent, self-taught artist, Macarena is able to bounce between different mediums. Her practice evolves around collages and image-making in the field of art, rug-making, fashion and commercial illustration. She is mostly known for her vibrantly coloured tufted wall pieces, which gives spaces a sensational pop art feel. Macarena has a unique style and thought process that are not only hard to replicate, but communicates human thought and care throughout her product lines. The heart of her mission is to not lose touch with the human element in the things consumers surround themselves with.

Supported by industry champion Stephanie Cherrin, Macarena’s ability to stir imagination and unique emotion is what made her stand out. As part of The Founders Initiative, she and other inspiring founders are prepared to take their business to the next level.
