Shock resistance testing — RICHARD MILLE

The pendulum impact tester is the ally of our R&D and prototyping workshop. It is used for every new Richard Mille watch to determine the shock resistance or robustness of a new calibre and the case material under impact by measuring the energy they can absorb.
Understanding a material’s energy absorption properties is essential for predicting the deformations it can withstand before breaking. It is frequently used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and construction to ensure that materials can endure sudden forces.
