Sealed tight – The Explorer 40 case back


The Explorer 40’s case back, edged with fine fluting, is hermetically screwed down against the middle case with a special tool that grants only certified Rolex watchmakers access to the movement. This system, invented in 1926 with the creation of the Oyster case, guarantees waterproofness.
