SailGP – Spain beats the odds to claim crown

Since its launch in 2019, SailGP has redefined competitive sailing. This national team championship is contested by elite sailors who race identical F50 foiling catamarans capable of reaching 50 knots, or nearly 100 km/h, and that seem to fly across the water. With 12 events across four continents, Season 4 was the discipline’s biggest and best to date, emphasizing SailGP’s continued rapid growth. A thrilling campaign went down to the wire, with Spain stunning top teams Australia and New Zealand in a nail-biting Grand Final in San Francisco to win the title. The increase in the number of events further compelled teams to be as finely tuned as their boats. Through a combination of science, psychology and skill, SailGP athletes have become some of the most exceptional sports performers on the planet. As part of its long-standing support for yachting, Rolex has partnered the world’s most exciting racing on water since the competition’s inception. Discover more https://on.rolex.com/40k8ZBZ
