Rolex Watchmaking – Twinlock

This is our Twinlock winding crown. Patented and introduced in 1953, it was a major milestone in our quest for waterproofness. The Submariner was one of the first watches to carry this feature. This screw-down crown is not exclusive to our Professional models. We have now integrated it into all our Classic models guaranteed waterproof to 100 metres (330 feet). It is an infallible rampart against dust particles and moisture. By keeping these invisible foes at bay, it protects the heart of the watch and reinforces the wearer’s confidence.
