Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2022 – Driving downwind

The second day of the 2022 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race delivered some stunning action in the pursuit of overall victory, and The Tattersall Cup, as well as the dash to be first to finish. The characteristics of determination and commitment, being displayed throughout the fleet, resonate deeply with Rolex and underpin the Swiss brand’s six-decade long relationship with yachting. At the front of the race, four 30.5 metre (100 foot) Maxis press hard towards Hobart, all steadfast in their resolve to secure line honours. For the remainder, the threat of the northerly wind building to 30 knots plus overnight off Tasman Island, before turning more westerly, means the story of the race is far from set in stone.
