Rolex Perpetual Planet Initiative Presents: Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu – Securing Nigeria’s Food Supply

In 2010, Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu became a Rolex Awards Laureate for creating a radio station advising smallholder farmers. His latest project, a network of solar-powered, walk-in cold rooms, prevents food from spoiling before it can be sold. In Nigeria, where over 88 million people face food insecurity and 12 per cent are undernourished, Ikegwuonu’s work is revolutionizing the food supply chain. #Rolex #PerpetualPlanet #RolexAwards
