The 43rd edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race was characterized by light conditions which tested the resolve, patience and endurance of the 118 competing crews. Emerging victorious as overall winner of the race was Teasing Machine. Having come close on a number of previous occasions, it represented a triumph of persistence and experience for the French crew. Line honours titles were claimed by Leopard 3 as fastest monohull and Mana was the first multihull following a gripping duel with Zoulou. For all finishers, the sense of achievement was palpable.
