When New York artist Jason Akira Somma decided to explore the art of dance, he had the good fortune in 2008 to be selected as protégé to eminent Czech-born choreographer Jiří Kylián through the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative. The result was a highly creative and productive artistic friendship that continues to this day.
