Behind a discreet red door on the third floor of the Manufacture, the Rarities programme turns collector ambitions into one-of-a-kind creations. The Excalibur Moonlight is its latest expression.
The dial unfolds across four layers. A CVD blue brass flange carries luminescent indexes on the outer ring. Above it, a rotating hours disc in translucent Murano-style blue glass maps the twelve zodiac constellations by name. A second rotating disc extends the astral theme with a luminescent depiction of the moon phases. At the centre, an engraved lunar-surface appliqué crowns the one-minute tourbillon cage.
Powering the creation is the RD115, a central flying tourbillon calibre certified by the Poinçon de Genève, protected by two patents: a compact planetary differential gear train and a clip-based clutch release system for time setting.
On the reverse, laser-engraved alveoli filled with luminescent material glow softly through the sapphire caseback, while 283 components reveal 19 distinct finishing techniques.
