From the earliest days of the brand, the absence of women in the Richard Mille universe was unthinkable. The first feminine watch had to be truly exceptional, an expression of beauty, ergonomics and cutting-edge technology, in line with the pieces already developed for men.
Unveiled in 2005, the RM 007 embodied this vision. More compact in size, it introduced a remarkable innovation at the heart of its automatic titanium movement: a rotor in 18-carat sandblasted gold, with a weight segment composed of hundreds of 18-carat gold micro-balls housed within a transparent, PVD-coated container. This system was designed to absorb shocks and regulate energy transfer with exceptional efficiency.
Its elongated silhouette, defined by taut, modern lines, allows the case to sit naturally on the wrist, creating an immediately recognizable presence, with the central dial acting as a key visual signature. Combining technical sophistication with refined aesthetics, the RM 007 also opened the door to high jewellery within the brand, through an extensive range of gem-setting possibilities and the use of an exceptional variety of precious and ornamental stones on the case and dial.
