Questioning identity and belonging, pushing the boundaries of set cultural models, and redressing relationships between the self and nature, are some of the themes that dominate the artistic practice of our panelists. Their work as women artists from the Arab world actively shapes the local and regional art scene and strengthens the power of words through performance, film-making, and visual arts. Storytelling with historical, political, personal, and fictional narratives are at the heart of their artistic practice. The panel will explore critical themes, multiple layers of creative expression, and the framework within which women’s voices are heard and celebrated.

إن تفحص الهوية والانتماء، ودفع حدود النماذج الثقافية المحددة، وإصلاح العلاقات بين الذات والطبيعة، هي بعض المواضيع التي تهيمن على الممارسة الفنية للمُتحدثات في جلسة النقاش هذه. فعملهن كفنانات من العالم العربي يشكل المشهد الفني المحلي والإقليمي بشكل فعال ويعزز قوة الكلام عبر الأداء، وصناعة الأفلام، والفنون البصرية. ويكمن سرد القصص استنادا إلى الروايات التاريخية، والسياسية، والشخصية والخيالية، في صلب ممارستهن الفنية. ستتناول جلسة النقاش مواضيع شائكة، ومستويات متعددة من التعبير الإبداعي، والإطار الذي يتم من خلاله إسماع أصوات النساء والاحتفاء بها.
