Explore the sculpture Smoke (2015) by Tony Smith, on view at Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre (DECC).
Smoke was designed in 1967. This two-tiered aluminium sculpture stands over seven metres tall and is a combination of geometric components, including five tetrahedrons and 45 extended octahedrons. The sculpture’s powerful form is based on the artist’s fascination with geometry and the morphology of organic shapes, like crystals and honeycombs.

استكشف منحوتة “دخان” (2015) للفنان توني سميث، والمعروضة في مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات في الدوحة.
تم تصميم “دخان” في سنة 1967. ويعدّ العمل أضخم أعمال سميث المصممة للعرض في مساحة داخلية، حيث يبلغ طول هذه المنحوتة، المصنوعة من طبقتين من الألومنيوم، أكثر من 7 أمتار، وهي عبارة عن مزيج من الأشكال الهندسية، بما فيها خمسة مجسمات رباعية الأسطح، و45 مجسماً طويلاً ثُمانِيّ الأسطح. وقد استلهم الفنان هذا التصميم المؤثّر للمنحوتة من شغفه وعشقه للهندسة واهتمامه ببُنية الأشكال العضوية كالكريستال وأقراص العسل.
