Including works by 15 Qatar-based artists as part of Fire Station’s artist-in-residence programme, Portals in Flux situates art through the concept of thresholds and movement. Whether rooted in the desert, cosmos, daily rituals, or intimate home spaces, each artwork becomes a portal offering an opening into another state of being or seeing. These new works are a product of a nine-month process of research and experimentation, weaving together sound, texture, scent, and atmosphere to create sensory experiences that transform perceptions.

يضم معرض “بوابات متغيرة” أعمالًا لخمسة عشر فنانًا يُقيمون في قطر ضمن برنامج الإقامة الفنية في مطافئ، ويتناول الفن من خلال مفهومي الحدود والحركة. سواءً أكانت متجذرة في الصحراء، أو الكون، أو الطقوس اليومية، أو مساحات المنزل الدافئة، فإن كل عمل فني يتحول إلى بوابة تُتيح مدخلًا إلى حالة جديدة من الوجود أو الرؤية. هذه الأعمال الجديدة هي نتاج تسعة أشهر من البحث والتجريب، نسجت بين الصوت والملمس والرائحة والجو العام لتصوغ تجارب حسية تُغير المفاهيم.
