Ode to the city of Geneva
The Tour de l’Île, last vestige of a 13th century castle holds special power as a symbol of Geneva, its fierce independence and the landmark of Saint-Gervais, the city’s original watchmaking district. Even more so for Vacheron Constantin, whose manufacture resided in the tower from 1843 to 1875.
For the Maison’s 270th anniversary, Les Cabinotiers workshop adapted three representations drawn from historical pictures of the tower using techniques that contributed to Geneva’s horological fame: guilloché, miniature grand feu enamel and bas-relief engraving.
