I flew a Cirrus Vision Jet G2+ from Atlanta Hartsfield Int’l; the world’s busiest airport to the 2022 NBAA-BACE in Orlando. My Cirrus instructor Joel Mayo showed me all the features inside the Vision Jet. It is the most affordable personal jet out there; costing about $3 Million.
We rotated at 85 knots of speed out of the busy airspace of Atlanta. En route to Orlando, I flew several maneuvers inside the Vision Jet such as steep turns and stalls. The new ultra-long-range Gulfstream G800 made its debut at 2022 NBAA-BACE. It has the longest range of 8,000 nautical miles. The test pilot explained the flight test program and the experimental airplane. New electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) and advanced air mobility (AAM) vehicles are also on display. I met up with many aviators there to see their favorite airplane.
A year ago, I toured the Cirrus Vision Jet at NBAA. This year I flew in one to the show! The opportunities created from networking and face-to-face meet at the NBAA-BACE is like no other. It is the greatest Business Aviation event.
