McLaren Tech Club – Episode 32 – How does the e-diff make the difference to the McLaren Artura?

Every element of our McLaren Artura contributes to a uniquely intense experience. Key to this is our first-ever deployment of an electronically controlled differential (e-diff), that independently controls torque moving across the rear axle.

Lighter and more controllable than a mechanical differential, the e-diff locks and unlocks individual rear wheels to improve the Artura’s traction out of corners.

Leonardo Pascali, our Director of Vehicle Technology and Chassis, explains more in this week’s Tech Club.
