Jia Zhang-Ke and Rafael Manuel, Rolex mentoring programme, 2023–2024


Emerging Filipino filmmaker Rafael Manuel collaborated for two years with acclaimed Chinese director Jia Zhang-Ke through the Rolex mentoring programme. Manuel found the experience of watching how Jia masterfully jumps between fact and fiction eye-opening. Mentoring forms part of Rolex’s commitment to the transmission of knowledge to the next generation.
