Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel and her couture workshop on rue Cambon, Arnaud Chastaingt, Director of the CHANEL Watch Creation Studio, designed the J12 Automaton Caliber 6. Set with diamonds, this watch in matte black highly resistant ceramic with hand-polished bevels presents the first Automaton movement designed and assembled by the House Watch Manufacture.
In an incredible technical feat, its 355 components bring Mademoiselle to life in a meticulously structured 5-layer décor for 10 seconds, at the simple push of a button. Each element was created using the galvanic growth technique and hand-stamped, then positioned on the dial with extreme precision.
It took 5 years to develop this exceptional watch: a perfect balance of design and watchmaking expertise, expressed through excellent materials and sophisticated details.
