Ocean Z is the third yacht in Heesen’s 50m Series. Her construction was begun as a speculative venture.
Heesen is a pioneer of series-construction in superyachts. We began in early 2000 with the 37m semi-displacement Series, and today offer five different models. Our 50m steel series is one of the most popular because of its genuine seagoing capabilities and internal volume – the largest in its class below the 500GT threshold.
A true bluewater motor yacht ideal for cruising, Ocean Z has a displacement hull designed by Heesen’s in-house team of naval architects and engineers, with twin MTU 8V4000 M63 engines providing a top speed of 15 knots and a bulbous bow optimised for seakeeping and fuel efficiency. At 50 metres, this cutting-edge design offers a range of 3,800 nautical miles at 13 knots.
