Created by Qatari political ARToonist Ghada Al Khater in 2018, A Blessing in Disguise was the artist’s Arabic answer to Martin Creed’s work Everything Is Going to be Alright.
Two new creations created by British artist Martin Creed and promising Qatari artist Ghada Al-Khater, coinciding with the passing of a year. على غرار العمل الفني لمارتين كريد بعنوان “كل شيء سيكون على ما يُرام” في جاليري الرواق، صنعت الفنانة السياسية القطرية غادة الخاطر لافتة ضوئية تحمل عبارة “رُبَّ ضارة نافعة”.
جديدين أبدعهما الفنان البريطاني مارتين كريد والفنانة القطرية الواعدة غادة الخاطر بالتزامن مع مرور عام كامل على
الحصار المفروض على قطر، حيث يحتفي العملان بلحظة فارقة في التاريخ القطري أظهر فيها الشعب القطريّ تكاتفًا واصطفافًا وطنيًا غير مسبوق.
يُقدم العمل الفني للفنانة غادة الخاطر المعروفة برسوماتها السياسية الساخرة نظرة إبداعية أخرى ، والتي لاقت استحسانًا كبيرًا بين الجمهور لاسيما رسوماتها التي تناولت الحصار. وعلى غرار العمل الفني لمارتين كريد، أبدعت الخاطر لافتة ضوئية أيضًا تحمل عبارة “رب ضارة نافعة”، وهي مقولة شائعة استشهد بها صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد، في خطابه التاريخي يوم 21 يوليو 2017 الذي تحدث فيه للمواطنين لأول مرة منذ بداية الحصار. وتُعرض هذه اللافتة على واجهة مبنى “مطافئ: مقر الفنانين” كتذكِرة بسيطة ورقيقة بأنه مع كل
