The guiding force behind luxury fashion house Carolina Herrera shares his approach to craftsmanship and artistry
Since becoming Carolina Herrera’s creative director in 2018, Gordon has brought a contemporary touch to the label’s signature elegance – developing a sought-after red-carpet style worn by celebrities including Kerry Washington, Shakira, and Demi Moore.
‘There’s no greater celebration of humanity than art,’ Gordon says, describing fashion as a form of expression that goes beyond aesthetics. His process, rooted in bold color palettes and a hands-on approach to craftsmanship, reflects his belief that creativity is a means to make sense of the world. Shot at Carolina Herrera’s New York studio, the film captures this philosophy in motion, tracing the journey from sketch to finished garment under his direction. For Gordon, each collection serves as a canvas to demonstrate how art shapes not only our wardrobes but also our very perception of beauty.
