H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al Thani officially opened the Maradona Fanfest at Qatar Executive Premium Terminal at Hamad International Airport. The Fanfest, sponsored by Qatar Executive, Qatar Airways, and Give&Get, is dedicated to honoring the late Diego Maradona throughout the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. It will remain open to the public until December 18th.
The Maradona Fanfest features state-of-the-art interactive technology that brings Maradona’s legacy to life. Visitors can participate in public auctions and enjoy performances by renowned international artists. Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Mr. Akbar Al Baker, highlighted the event’s significance in promoting football and raising funds for charity.
Located at the Qatar Executive Premium Terminal, the Maradona Fanfest is easily accessible and will host numerous athletes and football celebrities. These special guests will donate personal items, which will be auctioned at the end of the event. The highlight of the auction will be the TANGO D1OS, a tribute jet to Diego Maradona.
The Fanfest offers various attractions, including the Tango D1OS Experience, where visitors can interact with the aircraft dedicated to Maradona. There is also a penalty tournament, the Maradona Domo 360, a daily football report lounge, a photo booth for leaving messages to Diego, live match screenings on a giant screen, and an exclusive lounge to socialize with football celebrities.
