Bold and committed, Manal AlDowayan, one of 12 international artists participating in the sixth edition of ‘Dior Lady Art,’ describes her ‘Lady Dior’ handbags – created during lockdown from her base in London – as a “love letter” to her homeland of Saudi Arabia. Backed by one of her desert rose minaudieres, the artist in this video presents the inspirations behind her highly personal creations adorned with black-and-white images applied to printed gold calfskin or embroidered with feathers.
