Conversations | Majelis: an Assembly Hosted by Ruangrupa on Lumbung, Documenta Fifteen, and Beyond

Ruangrupa, the collective behind the artistic direction of documenta fifteen (18 June-25 September, 2022), host an assembly of representatives from four majelises, or assemblies, organised as part of the exhibition.
Through these majelises, documenta fifteen’s artists and members share resources to build ‘lumbung’, an artistic and economic model drawing on the Indonesian term for a communal rice barn. In this gathering, the theory and praxis of documenta fifteen is explored with its participants.
