Castel del Monte | Gucci Cosmogonie

For centuries, Castel del Monte in Andria, Italy has been used as an observatory, offering those who visit a gaze into an octagonally shaped sky. From the stars in the cosmos to the unique way the sunlight hits the walls of the interior courtyard, as well as the obsessive repetition of the number eight seen throughout the architecture, it is a place that suggests a multitude of symbolism to those who cross it. Continuing Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s dialogue with historic places, the Gucci Cosmogonie fashion show will be unveiled against this allusive setting.
