Case restoration is a complex and time-consuming process due to the high level of finishing and intricacy involved. Complete case refinishing requires the removal of the movement and total disassembly of the watchcase, including the front and back sapphire crystals. Each part undergoes close examination and receives the necessary finishing (satin-finishing, polishing, microblasting, or surface treatment), all by hand, following horological traditions. Thanks to this work, the case is transformed—its battle scars vanish, and it is ready to fulfill its role as a protector of the calibre. A watch serviced at an official Richard Mille center looks as perfect as the day it first left our manufacture.
