Bernardine Evaristo and Ayesha Harruna Attah, Rolex mentoring programme, 2023–2024

Author of five novels, Ghanaian writer Ayesha Harruna Attah wants to write African stories for Africans and for her books to reach a wider audience. Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo offered advice on how to build an international career. The pair marked the end of their two-year collaboration through the Rolex mentoring programme at The London Library with a discussion on the role mentorship plays in a thriving literary career. Mentoring forms part of Rolex’s commitment to the transmission of knowledge to the next generation. It takes place alongside its support for leading arts institutions and artists around the world through the Perpetual Arts Initiative. Discover more https://on.rolex.org/4eoFySx
