In this special behind-the-scenes episode, Felix takes a peek at the production of the brand new Mercedes-AMG SL at the plant in Bremen, one of the largest Mercedes-Benz production facilities in the world.
On arrival in Bremen, Felix is introduced not only to the the legendary Mercedes-Benz SL family but to Gordon who is a Manager Body Shop Sportscars. Gordon takes Felix into the production hall, where they take a close look at the impressive symbiosis of precise machine work and highly skilled manual work. Felix tests his hand at welding at the virtual welding machine.
In the next production step, Felix meets Yvonne, the assembly team leader. Together, they observe the most exciting part of the production process: the marriage of engine and body. Afterwards, Felix joins Dieter to test whether the Mercedes-Benz SL vehicle meets Mercedes-AMG’s high quality standards, remains leak-proof even in heavy rain and handles perfectly on sharp turns.
