Christian Selmoni, Style and Heritage Director at Vacheron Constantin, unveils the intricate world of the Métiers d’Art Tribute to Great Civilisations Series II. In close collaboration with the curators of the Louvre, the Maison’s artisans embarked on a meticulous three-year quest, translating monumental masterpieces into miniature works of art.
The intricate savoir-faire is revealed through glyptique on stone, a first for the Maison, alongside micro-mosaic, engraving, and enamelling, meticulously forming each intricate frieze. Each dial requires between 120 and 220 hours of dedicated craftsmanship, a testament to the Maison’s relentless pursuit of precision and excellence.
