In the frozen north of Sweden, just 100 miles from the Arctic Circle, Bentley has set a new winter lap record.
At Drivecenter Arena in Fällfors – once a military airbase – the Flying Spur Speed conquered a 2.05-mile track buried beneath 12 inches of snow and ice. Despite the longest straight being just 450 metres and glazed in sheet ice, the Flying Spur delivered laps under three minutes. The fastest: 2:58.
This achievement is more than a record. It’s a tribute to Bentley’s heritage – inspired by the Ice Speed Records of 2007 and 2011, and the legendary Turbo R endurance run of 1986. To honour that legacy, the Flying Spur Speed carried a specification matched to the Turbo R in Bentley’s Heritage Collection: Brooklands Green paintwork, yellow fine lines, and an interior of Linen, Cumbrian Green, and Open Pore Walnut.
