Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils the new Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948, a reimagined expression of universal time. Combining the Maison’s heritage of complications with the artistry of the Métiers Rares™ atelier, this timepiece reflects a dialogue between innovation and tradition. The dial reveals a domed map of the Northern Hemisphere, with continents cut from 18K pink gold (750/1000) and enriched with champlevé enamel. Beneath the dome, the disc representing the oceans shimmers with a wavy guilloche pattern, hand-finished and enhanced by 17 layers of coloured and translucent lacquers, each patiently applied to achieve depth and luminosity. Floating above the oceans, the patented universal flying tourbillon completes a 24-hour circuit of the dial, synchronizing with the world-time display in a poetic reflection of Earth’s rotation. Framed in an 18K pink gold (750/1000) case with refined finishes and paired with a deep blue alligator strap, the Master Grande Tradition Calibre 948 captures the Maison’s pursuit of elegance, precision, and craftsmanship.
