Rendez-Vous Star | Jaeger-LeCoultre

Defying the laws of horology, the new Rendez-Vous Star captures and recreates the romance and unpredictability of shooting stars thanks to an entirely new mechanism conceived and developed within the Manufacture, the Calibre 734. Activated by the movement of the wrist, the shooting star appears on the dial at random moments its unpredictability making it even more special. With this delicate demonstration of its miniature painting know-how, Jaeger-LeCoultre interprets the fascinating unpredictability of shooting stars. Made of sapphire glass and set with diamonds, the dial is hand-painted with stars, clouds and a moon. Beneath it, a titanium rotating disc with a cut-out of the shooting star spins over a fixed disc with a glowing gradient finish accentuating the sense of movement.
