2023 Rolex Awards for Enterprise: Beth Koigi – Something in the Air

Growing up in Limuru, Kenya, entrepreneur Beth Koigi was surrounded by the lush greenery of wetland swamps and rain-blessed hills. She had access to clean, safe water and now wants the same for others. As a 2023 Rolex Awards Laureate, Koigi is scaling up her project to bring solar-powered systems that extract water from the air to provide a crucial resource for off-grid communities in Kenya’s most arid regions.
