Piaget artisans embraced 150 years of savoir-faire to once again revolutionize timekeeping.

After debuting the thinnest watch yet to be seen in 2018, Piaget artisans embarked upon a quest for elegance, driven by inventiveness, to incorporate a tourbillon into a 2mm watch.

After more than 70 versions of the cage, 15 versions of the anchor, and 30 versions of the case frame, the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon was born. By integrating a made to measure barrel that hosts a powerful mainspring with a thicker blade generating an additional 25% of energy, the AUCT found a new powerful energy source, achieving the feat with the addition of a mere half millimeter in diameter. Technicians replaced the pivots of the wheels with ceramic ball bearings to reduce friction and thickness, focusing on minute details that facilitate iconic technical progress.
