French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel conceived his largest installation ever on the 900-meter-long lagoon that is a key feature of the surrounding landscaped park. Titled ALFA, it comprises 114 individual black fountains, shaped to resemble Arabic calligraphy or the tall reeds that calligraphers use to make their pens, which are activated once an hour.

استكشف العمل الفني “ألفا” (2019) للفنان الفرنسي جان ميشيل أوثونيل، في متحف قطر الوطني في الدوحة. ويقع هذا العمل الفني الرائع على بحيرة المتحف الممتدة بطول 900 متر، وهو أحد أبرز معالم الحديقة المحيطة بالمتحف ذات المناظر الطبيعية. ويتكون هذا العمل الضخم من 114 نافورة سوداء اللون، صُمِمت على نحو يحاكي أشكال الخط العربي برشاقته المعهودة أو عيدان القصب التي يستخدمها الخطاطون أقلاماً. وتعمل هذه النوافير مرة كل ساعة.
