Ahead of the CHANEL 2022/23 Métiers d’art replica show in Tokyo, ambassadors and friends of the House gathered in the Japanese capital, an opportunity for some of them to reunite after the show last December in Dakar.
Following their rehearsal, NIX and Ichika Nito shared with House ambassadors Caroline de Maigret, Kristen Stewart and Nana Komatsu the highlights of their collaboration for the upcoming show: “Art connects us, it’s almost like a language in a way”, said Ichika Nito.
Choreographer Dimitri Chamblas evoked with artist and dancer Aoi Yamada his creative vision in the lead up to his “Slow Show”, performed this time with Tokyoite dancers for the opening of the replica show on June 1st.
