Watches and Wonders Geneva 2023 Edition Breaks Records

The 2023 edition of Watches and Wonders Geneva exceeded all expectations and broke multiple records. The Salon continues establishing itself as a major player in the world watchmaking scene, thanks to steady growth and a unified vision.

Increased Attendance and Social Media Reach

This year’s event saw a 50% increase in press attendance, with 1,400 journalists from around the world present. The number of unique visitors also increased, with 43,000 people attending over the week, including 5,400 retailers and a record-breaking 125 nationalities. Additionally, the number of end-consumers doubled during the first five days of the event. The event also generated a significant buzz on social media, with 1.8 million posts mentioning #watchesandwonders and an estimated reach of over 600 million people.

 

Engagement with Younger Audiences

Watches and Wonders continues to attract a diverse audience, with 25% of ticket sales coming from people under 25 years old. The LAB experience was a major draw for younger visitors, providing a glimpse into the future of watchmaking.

 

In the City Experience

This year’s “In the City” experience marked a turning point in the development of Watches and Wonders Geneva, engaging the city and the general public with special events in the boutiques and other points of interest in the watchmaking capital. The Avener’s concert on the quayside was a major highlight, drawing both locals and international visitors.
