Through the use of tracking collars and remote sensing technology, 2023 Rolex Awards Laureate Liu Shaochuang has been monitoring the movements of wild camels across the Gobi Desert. He has found their habitat is shrinking as a result of climate change and human activity, placing them in greater danger of both predation and disease.
