Luiz Rocha, a 2021 Rolex Awards for Enterprise Laureate from Brazil, has dedicated much of his life to exploring and protecting deep coral reefs that harbour a host of unknown fish and other sea creatures. He is currently undertaking pioneering diving expeditions to find new species in the so-called mesophotic reefs of the Maldives.
